Landscaping During A Pandemic
This isn’t our usual blog post; however, what is usual these days? The COVID-19 pandemic is impacting all facets of our lives, and that includes the landscape industry.
Our customers will continue to see our crews in their yards, and our commercial clients can count on us planting and irrigating their construction sites. The reason being is that landscape work is considered an essential service.
Essential work
We are in a unique position during Florida's stay-at-home order. The first is obvious; landscaping work is outside. Second, our crews have limited interaction with the public.
ELT is taking extra steps to keep our guys and customers safe during these stressful times.
• Employees must stay home if they feel sick.
• Crews are kept together, which prevents people from mixing in the case that someone tests positive.
• No more than four employees in a crew.
• Work start times have been staggered to prevent the gathering of staff.
• We clean and sanitize all equipment and trucks every day.
• No sharing of tools.
• Anyone who has come in contact with someone infected with the Coronavirus must stay home for two weeks, and can't return until cleared by a doctor.
• All meetings are limited to 15 minutes, and participants must stay at least six feet apart.
In addition to these precautions, customers are encouraged to contact our office if he/she needs to relay a message about their property.
Always delivering results
Our goal on every project that we take on is to ‘earn trust by delivering results,’ and for us, at ELT Landscape, that goal had not changed, just how we do it had to be adjusted.
The COVID-19 pandemic hits at a busy time in the landscape industry. Lawns are coming back to life, trees need pruning, and it’s the dry season. Your landscape needs attention more than ever.
Whether you’re looking for a new design, want pros to take over your maintenance, or only need someone to reset your irrigation timer, you can count on us.
Please, check out our previous blogs for advice on how to handle everything from the right way to mulch, to the bugs to be on the lookout for this spring. And remember, we would love to help you, click the ‘free estimate’ button to contact us so that we can talk about your yard.
ELT Landscape will keep working and working safely until this outbreak is over.
Until then, stay safe.
